The second annual Love Paper Week was a highly successful five days of celebration and education about the sustainable qualities of print and paper.
As the curtain comes down on Love Paper Week 2026, Two Sides has had a chance to assess how effective the initiative has been. And across all metrics, the result is a resounding success. Whether it’s the amount of people downloading and sharing the online resources or viewing them on social media, there’s been significant growth on last year’s results, demonstrating the value of this industry-wide campaign.
“We’re all delighted with the results of Love Paper Week 2026,” says Two Sides Campaign Manager Josh Birch. “The volume of companies and organisations across the UK and the world that have got involved with the project has been staggering.”
Busting The Myths
Now in its second year, Love Paper Week is an international celebration of the sustainability and attraction of paper and paper-based packaging, bringing together printers, brands, manufacturers and paper merchants across the globe to raise awareness of this highly versatile material.
Taking place between 2-6 February 2026, the campaign provided a wealth of free resources such as social media content, email signatures, virtual backgrounds and promotional graphics for companies, brands and organisations to share, each one adding their own messages of support for the campaign. With a number of misconceptions about the environmental impact of paper remaining, it’s vital that everyone in the industry does their bit to dispel these misconceptions and communicate the facts about paper.
“Paper continues to be one of the most sustainable and effective forms of communication,” explains Josh Birch, Campaign Manager for Two Sides UK. “It’s renewable, recyclable and biodegradable, yet many misconceptions remain. Love Paper Week is about giving the industry a collective voice to challenge myths, share facts and celebrate the benefits of paper with businesses and consumers.”
A Global Presence
Over the five-day campaign, almost 400 companies and organisations downloaded the Love Paper Week 2026 materials, with the majority distributing them across social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and X. From Ricoh, Konica Minolta and Burgo Group to the Paperboard Packaging Council, BPIF and Belgian industry body Papier.be, print industry social media was flooded with messages about Love Paper Week, reaching a potential audience of millions.
Meanwhile, a UK based Love Paper Week competition on Instagram gained nearly 90,000 views and more than 650 entries. The campaign also broadened its global reach with Love Paper North America, Brazil and Latin America creating their own resources and landing pages.
“Love Paper Week is a powerful opportunity to remind brands, customers and consumers why it’s OK to love paper and that it is important for the industry to share the love,” said Jules Van Sant, Executive Director of Two Sides North America. “Beyond celebration, it’s a chance to highlight the sustainability, functionality, craftsmanship, creativity and enduring value of print.”
Love Paper Week 2027
Looking ahead, Two Sides are already working on plans for Love Paper Week 2027, building on the success of the first two years and expanding the range of resources available for companies to use. As the myths about paper’s environmental impact persist, campaigns such as Love Paper Week become increasingly important to support, educating and informing consumers and brands that paper and card remain the most sustainable choice.
